Hotel & Suites El Quijote sits on Hermano Miguel 9-58 and Gran Colombia, one hundred metres from Cuenca’s Cathedral and Parque Calderón. Everything in the old town — the flower market, the Tomebamba river walk, the Panama hat workshops, the museums — is within walking distance. You will not need a taxi to get to dinner.

We have 44 rooms across fourteen types, from a compact double to a family suite that sleeps six with its own kitchen and dining table. Whether you are here for two nights or two weeks, there is a room shaped for it.

What every room includes

• American breakfast, served every morning. On Ecuadorian public holidays we lay out a special buffet.

Rooms

Suites and family rooms. The Family Suite is our largest at 26 m², sleeping up to six, with a kitchen, a dining area and a fridge. The Superior Suite (21.5 m², up to three) has a kitchen and balconies. The Family Room fits five in one room, so nobody gets split up.

King Superior. Twenty-five square metres for two people, with our widest bed, a dining area, a fridge and an armchair.

Doubles, triples and quadruples. Matrimonial rooms for couples in Economy, Standard and Superior grades; twin rooms with separate beds for colleagues and friends; triples and quadruples for small groups and families. All with private bathrooms.

Meetings and events

Salón Dulcinea holds up to 200 people theatre-style or 140 seated for a meal, with a projector, a screen and fibre wifi. Salón Histórico is a business room for up to 60 people inside the heritage building. Both are on site, so your guests sleep where they meet.
